Retro Bottles by Exceptional Vapes

Today, we continue reviewing the TPD Gold range by EV. This one is Retro Bottles by Exceptional Vapes. There is currently 12 E-liquids in this line and they also produce short-fill liquids and a few concentrates. EV are based in Derbyshire, UK and have a very user-friendly website to order their vast range of E-liquids.

This Gold Edition range are all in TPD compliant 10ml bottles. Nicotine options are in 3mg and 6mg and has a default PG/VG ratio of 30/70, so pretty much the standard here in the UK. The bottle is supplied in a small box which includes information and the usual TPD Nicotine warning. The bottle label covers more warnings with the peel back label and also contains ingredients and EV’s contact information. This is all printed alongside EV’s logo in gold and black. The bottle has a child proof safety cap and is in tough plastic, but easily squeezable to get juice out of the tip. Printed along the top of the bottle is the best before date.

The liquid in this bottle is really clear so obviously just fruity flavourings used in the mix. Retro Bottles on the EV website is described as Bring back your childhood memories with these sour pink and blue bottles. Bubblegum with twists of blended fruits to make this identical to the real thing. I don’t really recall the gummy bottle sweets, only the Cola or Milk ones, but even so, it sounds good!

Device used: Asmodus Minikin V2 and Geekvape Peerless RDA with 0.4 ohm coil.

On smelling from the bottle, it is a fruity deep Bubblegum scent and reminds me of another sweet. I also had a juice a few years ago from Lancashire Steam Company that smelt quite alike, so guessing they’re using similar flavourings.

On vaping, its really fruit-tasting with a really nice Bubblegum, which pops out more on the exhale. The juice tastes really different to how it smells. The fruit is predominately a Blueberry but works really well alongside the Bubblegum flavour. The Bubblegum hangs around too on the aftertaste. A sweet juice but not overly done, so if you have a sweet tooth, would make a good all day vape. Cloud production is good at 70VG and there isn’t any harshness, even at 6mg Nicotine. I can’t really compare it to the old style gummy bottles, but it’s definitely a great Fruity Bubblegum!

My Score: 8.4/10 – A sweet but really nice Bubblegum tasting E-liquid.

The price is currently £3.99 for a 10ml bottle and is available on the EV links in the opening paragraph of this review.
