Today’s E-liquid review is a well known desert flavour, this is Cherry Bakewell by Halo Vapour Co. Halo is a brand owned and supplied by Ecigarette Direct. Halo have a good reputation of E-liquid quality, and so, are also available at other vendors. There is currently 20 flavours in the Halo range and we’ve got a few to try out over the next week or two. The range covers pretty much every vaping flavour profile, including Tobacco, Fruits, Menthol and Deserts.

Halo’s Cherry Bakewell is supplied in a 10ml bottle inside a little box. The box has printed warnings, ingredients and contact infomation alongside the Halo font and flavour title. There is a sheet folded inside the box that includes more in-depth warnings and E-liquid instructions. The 10ml bottle is TPD compliant and has a large child safety screw cap. A Black label wraps the bottle with printed ‘Halo Vapour Co’ title and flavour name. There is also printed warnings, ingredients, contact info and the E-liquid Nicotine strength. The bottle is in tough plastic, but quite easy to squeeze juice through the nozzle. There is varying Nicotine strengths of Halo Cherry Bakewell available on the Ecigarette Direct website in zero, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg. Base mix is 50PG/50VG so is perfect for pod systems and mouth-to-lung vaping. It states on Ecigarette Direct’s website that this E-liquid is UK made and tested at a Government approved lab, using UK ingredients and Pharma grade Nicotine.

The flavour profile of Cherry Bakewell is described on the website as a mix of nutty and fruity flavours in this traditional British pudding makes for a delicious e-liquid, and our Cherry Bakewell expertly replicates everyone’s favourite sweet treat. With a top note of juicy cherry against a light almond background, this balanced flavour is as moreish as the real thing. On smelling from the bottle, it smells exactly like a Cherry Bakewell tart. The scent is one of the most authentic smells of an E-liquid that claims to be like the real thing, it really is just like opening a box of Cherry Bakewell’s.

Device used: Asmodus Minikin V2 and Wotofo Nudge RDA with 0.6 ohm coil.

On vaping, it’s an amazingly authentic taste to a Cherry Bakewell tart. It is a nice rich Cherry alongside a really moreish nutty Almond taste. The Cherry is the leader on the inhale and that Almond pops out more alongside on the exhale. It’s a really well mixed juice, packing enough flavour without being too sweet or becoming sickly. I don’t pick up on any Cake base alike the tarts, but it really doesn’t need it, as that Almond adds the Desert flavour and it’s so well blended. There isn’t any harshness or synthetic taste to the juice and it has a pleasant after-taste. Easily an all day vape if you’re a Cherry Bakewell lover!

My score: 8.6/10 – The taste is a bang-on Cherry Bakewell Tart! A great Desert flavour.
