Cream Custard by Halo
An E-liquid review today with another juice in a new shortfill range, this one is Cream Custard by Halo Vapour Co. Halo have a massive range of 10ml TPD compliant E-liquids and have recently released 4 new shortfill flavours in 70VG/30PG. This was supplied by E-Cigarette Direct who run the Halo range of E-liquids, as well as an extensive website of vaping gear. There are many juices in the Halo range covering pretty much every flavour profile without breaking the bank and those I’ve tried so far, have been great tasting.
Halo’s Cream Custard comes with 50ml of E-liquid in a 60ml shortfill bottle and is supplied in a box. The box is black with the ‘Halo Vapour Co’ title and font on the front, above the flavour and bottle amount. The back of the box has printed warnings, Halo’s contact info and ingredients. This lists this juice as a 70VG/30PG. The bottom of the box has the stock barcode and the light brown lid has the ‘Cream Custard’ flavour title, bottle size and that it is 0mg Nicotine. One side of the box is black and the other side is light brown, both with parts of the Halo graphic (Putting together with the other 3 flavours makes the Halo title). The bottle is in a clear 60ml unicorn shortfill bottle and wrapped with a large black label. The front of the labelling contains the title above the amount and the Nicotine level of 0mg. On the reverse of the label contains the same as the box with printed cautions, ingredients and contact info. At the bottom of that is a batch code and E-liquid best before date. A child safety cap is on the bottle and it features one of the removable top nozzles so you can easily add a Nicotine shot.
The description of ‘Cream Custard’ is listed on the E-Cigarette Direct website as a seriously indulgent creamy vanilla custard that is instant mouthwatering material. There has been quite a lot of Custard E-liquids reviewed on this blog over the last year, so it will be good to see how Halo’s version compares with the others. On smelling from bottle, its a nice creamy Custard scent with a sweet smelling Vanilla.
Device used: Yihi SX Mini G Class and Wotofo Recurve RDA with 0.4 ohm coil.
On vaping, Halo’s Cream Custard is a nice rich Custard mix. There is some deep creaminess to it which is complimented by a sweet Vanilla taste. I would say this tastes more of a more Vanilla-based Custard, although there is a nice amount of cream to it, it doesn’t have that milkiness flavour like an ‘Ambrosia’ taste (which can get quite sickly). Due to that, it’s an easy all day vape for those that like Custard vapes. It packs a fair amount of flavour without tasting synthetic and has a nice Vanilla after-taste to the vape. All in all, it’s a typical Custard, without any trimmings and is a very enjoyable vape. The 50ml bottle holds more than enough flavour to not get diluted by adding a 10ml Nicotine or VG shot.
My score: 8.8/10 – A very well mixed, nice tasting straight Custard E-liquid
You can buy Cream Custard by Halo at E-cigarette Direct via the links at the start of the review. The price for 50ml in a 60ml bottle is currently £14.99 and there are 3 other flavours in the current shortfill range; Tobacco Gold, Menthol Blend and Forest Berry.
