VM Tobacco by Vapemate

Back again with an E-liquid review today, it feels like a while since a juice review as it’s mostly been all hardware recently. It’s a Tobacco liquid today and this is VM Tobacco from UK brand Vapemate and is one from their classic range. This was supplied by the folks over at E-Cigarette Direct. They have a mail order website with fast shipping and competitive pricing. They offer a great selection of vaping hardware, starter kits and pod systems, as well as a nice selection of E-liquids from some big brands. They have been in the vaping business since 2008 and run the popular Halo Vapour co brand, so definitely know their stuff!

VM Tobacco by Vapemate comes in a TPD complaint 10ml size bottle supplied inside a small box. The front of the box includes the usual printed Nicotine warning and above that is the VG/PG ratio and Nicotine strength of the juice. A brown strip above has the printed flavour with the Vapemate Classic title and logo above. Surrounding the top of the box has a Tobacco graphic. The back of the box again includes the printed Nicotine warning with the Vapemate web address and contact address above. The right side of the box has the barcode and bottle size of 10ml. The left side includes printed ingredients and safety warnings of using the E-liquid. The bottom of the box has the recycle icon and a ‘Please recycle me’ text.

Inside the box is the 10ml bottle of VM Tobacco and a small folded sheet containing the usual printed warnings, as well as Vapemate’s contact information. The bottle is a clear bottle with a black screw top which is child safe. A white label surrounds the bottle. The label has the brand and juice title above the ratio and Nicotine strength. There is also smaller text on each side containing safety warnings, Vapemate’s contact info, batch number and E-liquid expiry date.

My bottle of VM Tobacco is in 12mg Nicotine strength and is in the Vapemate Classic’s default ratio of 50VG/50PG; so this should be fun testing on an RDA 🙂 It will be much better suited to a mouth-to-lung tank or pod system. The flavour is described on the E-Cigarette Direct website as a novel tobacco flavour created by a vape company to meet the needs of smokers looking for an alternative to tobacco cigarettes. I haven’t really ventured too far away from RY4’s much in Tobacco flavours, so am interested to see how this vapes and how it compares to others within it’s price range. On smelling from the bottle, I get mostly nothing other than a little tinge of Tobacco. It’s not necessarily a bad thing though, it’s not a juice packed of fruit and sweetener and some Tobacco vapes can be way too strong.

Device used: Yihi SX Mini G Class and Wotofo Recurve with 0.4 ohm coil.

On vaping, it is surprisingly quite a smooth vape considering it is a higher end of Nicotine strength (for me at least). There is a decent throat hit but not a mass cough-fest, even on a RDA. The Tobacco taste isn’t too over-powering or very sweet tasting and would be comparable to a mild Cigarette, with a sort of slight Virginia tasting Tobacco.  Compared to other Tobacco E-liquids, it is quite close to the taste from a real Cigarette so is a perfect choice for those looking to switch to vaping, but keeping near to the taste their used to. Being a 50PG/50VG, this would be much better suited to a small mouth-to-lung device. It’s quite a subtle Tobacco taste, so a good all day vape for a smoker without becoming too sickly.

My score: 7.9/10 – Great for a smoker to transition over to vaping!
