Amber Blend Tobacco by Vapemate
Here is another Tobacco-based E-liquid review this week. This is Amber Blend Tobacco from UK E-liquid brand Vapemate and is one from their classic range. This was supplied by E-Cigarette Direct. They have a mail order website, along with many shops based around mostly the west of the UK. The full Vapemate range is available on their website along with some great brands of other E-liquids. E-Cigarette Direct also have a nice range of vaping hardware including pod and starter kits. One of these would be perfect to vape with a higher strength Nicotine and 50VG/50PG juice like this from the Vapemate range.
How does it come?
Amber Blend Tobacco by Vapemate is supplied in a TPD complaint 10ml size bottle, which is in a small box. The front of the box includes the usual printed Nicotine warning, listed under the VG/PG ratio and the Nicotine level of the juice. A light brown strip above has the printed flavour name with the Vapemate Classic title and logo above. At the top of the box has a Tobacco graphic. The back of the box has the printed Nicotine warning with the Vapemate web and contact address above. The right side of the box has the barcode and bottle size of 10ml. The left side includes printed ingredients and safety warnings for when using the E-liquid. The bottom of the box simply has the recycle icon and a ‘Please recycle me’ text.
Inside the box is the 10ml bottle of Amber Blend Tobacco and a little folded sheet, containing the usual printed warnings and Vapemate’s contact information. The bottle is a clear bottle with a black screw top, which has the usual child safety. A white label wraps the bottle and has the juice title above the ratio and Nicotine strength. There is also smaller text on each side containing safety warnings, Vapemate’s contact info, batch number and E-liquid expiry date.
My bottle of Amber Blend Tobacco is in 12mg Nicotine strength and is in the Vapemate Classic’s default ratio of 50VG/50PG. This flavour is described on the E-Cigarette Direct website as Vapemate’s Amber Blend Tobacco vape juice captures the popular taste of Virginia tobacco. A great e-liquid taste for fans of traditional rolling tobacco. Comparing the liquids in the bottle side by side with Vapemate’s VM Tobacco, Amber Blend is more of a deep yellow colour. This is evident upon smelling from the bottle, as its a sweet Tobacco smell compared to the VM Tobacco’s little scent.
Device used: Wotofo Flux Mod and Wotofo Recurve with 0.4 ohm coil.
How does it taste?
On vaping, it’s a nice sweet tasting Tobacco. Amber Blend’s taste could be reminiscent of rolling Tobacco before it gets burnt in a Cigarette paper. It’s raw Tobacco taste and the sweetness of it, definitely make it comparable to a roll-up, as opposed to a tailor made Cigarette. The throat hit is good at 12mg (maybe a little too much on an RDA, but will better in a mouth-to-lung stick or pod system). It tastes quite authentic as far as Tobacco E-liquids go. I’m guessing by the name it would be close to the Amber Leaf brand. This is another Tobacco from Vapemate that would be great for those looking to transition into vaping from smoking. You’ll never truly meet that combustible Tobacco taste on the vape, but for flavour, this one isn’t too far off. Another good little budget juice from Vapemate.
