Slightly Twisted by The Rochford Project
Starting March with another E-liquid in a range from a UK brand, this is Slightly Twisted by The Rochford Project. This is quite a recent flavour released by Jay and The Rochford Project. He’s recently re-released this along with the rest of the range in new look Chubby Gorilla V3 bottles. Slightly Twisted and the other five current E-liquids are currently all in stock on The Rochford Project website. There is the option to add a Nicotine Shot on the order and there is also currently free UK delivery. The website of The Rochford Project is a really great design and as much attention to detail is evident in the E-liquid and labelling.
The Bottle and Design
Slightly Twisted is supplied in a 60ml bottle with 50ml of E-liquid, so you can easily add a 10ml Nicotine shot by popping off the nozzle cap. The bottle is clear plastic and wrapped in a black matte foil label. At the front of the label is ‘The Rochford Project’ at the top in a swirly White font. Beneath is ‘Slightly Twisted’ in the same font but in Lime Green. At the bottom of the label printed in normal White font is ‘Nicotine Free (Flavoured E-Liquid)’. At the back of the label is a Lime Green panel with White print inside. This covers the flavour profile, E-liquid warnings, how to add Nicotine, ingredients and The Rochford Project’s contact and social media info. Underneath is the usual printed warning graphics and that it is ’50ml’ in ‘0mg’ of E-liquid inside the bottle.
On the top of the bottle is a Black screw cap with the child safety lock. On the side of the screw cap is a printed batch number and expiry date of the E-liquid.
The E-liquid
Slightly Twisted’s flavour profile is described on The Rochford Project’s website as mixed sweet citrus fruits and juicy berries, all blended together with a sour candy twist. From the title, I’m guessing this is a Twister Lolly tasting liquid. As with the other E-liquids in The Rochford Project range, the default ratio is 70VG/30PG before adding any Nicotine shot. On smelling from the bottle, it is a big blast of a Lime scent. It smells quite sweet so let’s give it a vape and see how it is.
Device used: Smok Species Mod and Wotofo Recurve RDA with 0.4 ohm clapton coil.
How does it taste?
On the vape, straight on the inhale, you’re met with a nice sweet Lime flavour. A second or so in, you start to pick up on some Berries sitting alongside. The prominent Berry in there tastes like a Raspberry, even though it is quite subtle up against the Lime. It mostly adds nicely to the flavour instead of taking over the Citrus Lime. There also seems to be some creaminess holding the flavours together and a touch of sourness on the back-note. This pops more on the exhale for me. There isn’t any synthetic or artificial taste to the E-liquid and there is a nice after-taste of Lime that lingers for a while. This is definitely a nice vape for lovers of Lime or fruity vapers.
It is quite a sweet juice but very easy to vape all day without becoming over-powering. It does taste like a Twister Lolly and shares some similarities with other Twister-based E-liquid’s. The difference is this one is far better than the other ones I have tried.
My score: 8.9/10 – A really nice Lime-based E-liquid with The Rochford Project touch!
You can buy Slightly Twisted from The Rochford Project on their website via the links in the review. A 50ml shortfill bottle is currently £13.99, with option to add a Nicotine shot to your cart for £14.49 all in.
