Red Bread (Christmas Special) by Digbys
A Christmas special Eliquid for review today, this is Red Bread by Digbys Juices. They are a UK brand that has been active for years in the vaping circuit. I first vaped an Eliquid from Digbys back in 2015, one which I still buy today (review for that juice coming soon) so I know they put a lot of effort into their mixes. This Eliquid is a new special release for Christmas with a unique flavour profile, so have been keen to give this a try since I received it.
You can purchase any from the Digbys range via their web store or check them out at a lot of popular vape stores.
The Packaging
Red Bread is supplied in a 60ml Chubby Gorilla clear bottle. There is 50ml of Eliquid inside at zero Nicotine, so you have room for a Nicotine shot. The bottle has one of those easy pull out nozzles, so no problems adding the shot to the bottle. A Black child safety cap seals the bottle.
A very nicely designed sticky label wraps the bottle. The label is themed for Christmas featuring graphics each side of the label. The front of the label has the Digbys branding with the printed flavour title and brief description of the flavour. The bottom of the label includes Digbys web address. On the top right is the base ratio of the mix which is 60VG/40PG.
The label is brilliantly designed with Christmas-feel and appealing fonts.
The Eliquid
I know Digbys has some pretty unique Eliquids and the profile of Red Bread shows that. It is described on their website as; Oh yes, our 2019 Xmas special, Red Bread is a vanilla and gingerbread biscuit with baked blueberries. Perfectly balanced and a real treat for your tastebuds. On having a smell from the bottle, its a really nice Biscuit scent with some spiced Ginger sitting behind.
This has steeped for a few weeks and noticed the colour get a little darker so this should be full of flavour.
Device used: Geekvape Aegis X and Wotofo Recurve with 0.4 ohms Clapton build.
The Flavour
On the vape, Red Bread is a rich moreish mix. On inhale, I taste a nice balance of Vanilla and Biscuit and a few seconds in, a Blueberry note pops out more. This is rounded together with a hint of Ginger that jumps out some more leading into the exhale. Obviously, the flavour will change depending on your setup and power, but this is how it tastes to me on the above device at 35watts.
Don’t be put off by the Gingerbread in the mix. I’m not a fan of Ginger but it is subtle to bind together the flavour and add a touch of winter warmth. The same applies to the Blueberry, it isn’t overdone and is there to add a touch of fruitiness to the overall taste.
My score: 8.8/10 – A rich tasty Vanilla Biscuity blend with back notes of Blueberry and Ginger! Happy Christmas Digbys!
You can pick up Red Bread by Digbys on their website via the links in the review. The short-fills are £9.99 but there is a special deal on this one until the 31st of December 2019, where it is just £6.99. Grab it while you can!
