Tropical by Bearded Freaks

Our e-liquid review today will talk about Bearded Freaks’ Tropical E-liquid. Bearded Freaks is an up-and-coming brand that has just launched in 2020. It is made by The Vaping Hamster and Riot Labs, each brand established in its own right. The Vaping Hamster is an online retail vape shop that started in 2019 and has its own label of juices. It also has other brands in collaboration with other e-liquid manufacturers. Riot Labs is the manufacturing arm of the very well-known brand, Riot Squad, and it offers white label services to vaping companies.
There is quite a lot of brands that have “tropical” as a flavour. And myself being partial to tropical flavoured vapes, I was quite excited to give this one a try!
Packaging
Tropical comes in a 60mL Chubby Gorilla short fill bottle with space to add a nicotine shot if desired. It has a green label displaying the brand’s logo, a (very) bearded man donning a pair of sunglasses and a hat, which I think looks cool and very much on-point with the brand. A simple and to-the-point label, which I quite like: I find the information I need at one glance.
E-liquid Impressions
The juice comes as a colourless liquid consisting of a zero nicotine 70VG/30 PG mixture.
I could definitely smell the scent of fresh mangoes and pineapple as soon as I opened the bottle, which is always good news as it tells me a little of how it will vape.
The juice’s product description goes “Our Tropical flavour is what you get when you blend succulent Mango, with fresh pineapple, and juicy peaches! One of the best tropical e-liquids on the market today!”. And it is true, there are many brands carrying a “tropical” flavour, so it will be interesting to see how Bearded Freaks sets theirs apart!
The Vape
Well, it vaped as good as it smelled, and I loved it! The mango really comes through as well as the pineapple. It’s as if I’ve eaten slices of ruby mango and fresh pineapples with every vape. The juicy peach carries on in the background which I can taste more of on the exhale, complementing the mango and pineapple perfectly.
Most of the tropical flavours I have tried before tasted overwhelmingly of pineapple, mostly like pineapple juice or candied pineapple, which makes them a bit naff for me. But Tropical by Bearded Freaks tasted so good, they have certainly upped the game for tropical vapes!
If I had to give this a score, I’d give it a 9/10. It is just an expertly blended vape, perfect for any time of day.
Devices used and settings: Geekvape Zeus RTA with 0.2 ohm Clapton coils, on the Geekvape Aegis Solo mod at 60 watts.
